PeopleFluent’s Bright Lights: Meet Kristin Goetz, Senior Strategic Product Adoption Manager
In this edition of Bright Lights, we introduce another key PeopleFluent team member: Senior Strategic Product Adoption Manager Kristin Goetz. When she’s not at work, Kristin loves traveling the world and attending her kids’ sporting events. Let’s get to know her better!
So, Kristin, what’s your role at PeopleFluent? How long have you been working here?
I’ve been with PeopleFluent since 2010. I’ve worked in a variety of roles over the years. Currently, I’m the Senior Strategic Product Adoption Manager. I partner with our clients to optimize their return on their investment with our products. That can involve anything from working through how to implement a product to understanding best practices, particularly with our succession and performance solutions.
What did you do for work prior to joining PeopleFluent?
I worked in HR for a healthcare company for seven years. Actually, my former employer was a PeopleFluent client, and part of my role was implementing the PeopleFluent solutions. When working with clients now, I can honestly say that I’ve lived and breathed their experience because it’s what I did for nearly a decade.

What skills are needed to be successful in your role?
There are so many! You work with a lot of executives in this role, so you need to be good at consulting, listening, and negotiating. You also have to be able to think about your client’s long-term goals and plans in order to show them how to best leverage the technology to their advantage. To do that effectively, you need to be very knowledgeable about HR best practices and processes.
What skills do you want to develop?
I’m working on being able to predict the winning lotto ticket number [laughs].
How would you describe your team dynamic?
We’re very collaborative. We have this “all hands on deck” mentality, and it’s a very positive team. We really try to utilize each other's strengths and help support each other's weaker sides so that we become a stronger team.
What’s your favorite aspect of your job?
I love being able to help people problem-solve. The best thing is helping someone discover a solution. I enjoy the training and learning aspect, and just talking with so many people from different companies and different organizational makeups.

What’s your favorite work perk?
The flexibility of working from home and being able to flex my work and family life.
What are you doing when you’re not at your desk?
Traveling as much as possible. My family and I recently went to Jordan. We love traveling the world. South Africa and Australia have been two of my favorite places to visit.
I also enjoy skiing and attending my kids’ sporting events.
What’s something you wish you would’ve known at the start of your career?
I wish I would’ve known that everyone is just trying to do their job. I know it’s easier said than done, but you don’t have to be intimidated by someone’s job title. Everyone’s contribution is important and at the end of the day, it’s people working with people to make a difference.
